Timings are a planning guide from the guest house team next to the airport, last checked September 2026. Ferries get cancelled in bad weather, and flights land late. If it's close, have a plan B.
Your options after a late landing
- Government ferry: cheapest, but the last one goes at about 8:30 PM, and you need to get from the airport to Tagrin first.
- Water taxi: faster and usually waiting for international flights. You pay per seat, cross the open estuary in the dark, and still need a car on the Freetown side. See our full ferry and water-taxi guide.
