The West Africa Integration & Investment Summit, 17-18 November 2026
According to the organisers (waiis.org), the summit takes place on 17 and 18 November 2026 at the Julius Maada Bio International Conference Centre, with a pre-summit programme from 10 November in Freetown. It brings together heads of state, ministers, investors, development finance institutions, business leaders and project owners, with Private Sector Sessions, a Deal Room and four pillars: power, minerals, food and connectivity. It is delivered by PI-CREF and AfCEN, supported by ECOWAS, the African Finance Corporation and UNIDO. Attendance is by invitation approved by the organisers; no official hotel block or transfer partner has been published, and the organisers' FAQ says only that hotels are available close to the venue.
Why stay on the airport side in Lungi
- Close to the venue: about 1 km from the conference centre, so no long transfers between sessions.

- Late arrivals and early departures: 24-hour reception and power, and airport pickup on request (shuttle NLe 500 per trip).

Freetown airport is in Lungi, across the water from Freetown, and the venue is on the airport side. If you land in Lungi you do not need to cross the water to reach us. We arrange airport pickup on request.
